3-15-26 One of the most fustrating things for fans is seeing players not put in an effort on a play. Most of these players make a lot of money playing a game. A game most of us played as kids. The least we can ask is that the player gives it his all. Unfortunately that does not always happen. It might be worse in other sports (check out basketball) but we do not want to see lack of effort in baseball. Here is a video showing some of the shamefull plays, "MLB Worst Effort Plays."
3-22-26 Baseball players have had some great nicknames over the years. We have had a "Shoeless" player. We've have a "Three Finger" player. There have been several "Moose", "Tiny" and even "Pudge". Ofcourse there have been many others. But what is the best nickname. That is something you would have to judge for yourself. Check out "The Best Baseball Nickname".
3-29-26 A new MLB season is underway. Most of the players are veterans but there are a few rookies making their first appearances. It has to be a thrill for the player finally making it to the show. Their family also experiences an emotional moment seeing their son fulfill his dreams. The parents are proud as a peacock. Here is a video featuring "MLB, Parents React to First MLB At-Bat".
4-5-26 I focused on fans last week so I thought I would continue the theme. We've all been to a ballpark and experienced some nasty fans. Some are rude and obnoxious. However there are also the other extreme, nice fans. Some fans do nice things for other people. Maybe the move seats to accomodate someone else. Maybe they give a baseball to a kid. I am sure you have seen some of the kindness. Here is a nice video featuring "MLB, Nicest Fans".
4-12-26 Here is another fan focused video. Things happen in the stands that may be nasty but often some nice things happen. Maybe it is some nice player-fan interaction or something that is done for a kid. Maybe there is a great family moment or something one fan does for another. We've all seen some of them. It's pretty nice. Check out some kindness, "MLB, Greatest Fan Moments".
4-19-26 One of the games I used to play as a kid was "Pickle". No, not pickle ball but baseball pickle. That is basically doing a baserunner run down to see how long the runner can last. It was a fun easy game that just needed 3 players, two fielders and a runner. You could play as long as you wanted and did not need a baseball field or a lot of space to play. Organized teams practice run down plays and try to perfect getting the out. The defense is usually effective but sometimes the run down takes much longer than it should. Here is a video featuring "MLB, Longest Rundowns".
