11-2-25 For some baseball players their actions outside of the game over ride their in game skills. Babe Ruth walked that line but his talent and the friendly press kept him in the publics good graces. There were others, Ty Cobb was a extreme racist as were a lot of players back in that time. The media changed things in the late 80's and 90's. They started to report on the dark stories. Many players were tarnished with the steriod problem. Most of the players made it through that but one story that put an end to a career was the John Rocker story. Perhaps you remember it. Check out the story "From Fame to Infamy: The Rise and Fall of John Rocker".
11-9-25 Our theme lately has been sad stories of baseball. Some of those stories are definitely brought on by the player themselves. I'm talking about the "bad boys" of baseball. These are the players that just don't fit in and that don't mind. They cause problems and discontent in the clubhouse. They are sometimes called a cancer on the team. Some teammates would like to see these players go. It depends on their talent and the teams tolerance on how long they survive on a team. Here is a video featuring the "Top 10 MLB Clubhouse CANCERS OF ALL TIME - Anger Management Issues & More!!".
11-16-25 Last week we featured the "bad boys" of baseball. Who could be the worst "bad boy". How about a criminal. These guys are so bad the law goes after them. Some of the crimes are minor, some are not. This is not just a bad attitude or strange way of thinking. This is series stuff. There are actually a few videos about baseball criminals so we will have another minor theme. We will start off with "The Dumbest Criminals In MLB History".
