4-20-25 The technology for baseball bats has sure changed over the years. Today we have "torepedo" bats, maple bats, cupped end bats, and so many more. Have they really made a difference? It is hard to say. Old time players generally had higher averages but lower power numbers. The pitching was different though so you really can't make fair comparisons. But guys like Babe Ruth and Honus Wagner were great hitters. Could today's player compete using the same bats? Here is a video that compares hitting with the old bats. 5-11-25 Here's another bat video. We've covered a bunch of bats. What kind of bat do we have left. How about the ultimate bat for kids. The Wiffle ball bat. We all played Wiffle ball. At my house over the house roof was a home run. Over the garage roof was a double. If the ball stuck in either gutter it was an inside the park home run. Many games were played in my back yard.
