2-23-25 It's FBN draft time and I don't have much time to do much of a write-up. I did find something I think might be appropriate for the draft thoughts. 3-2-25 We all hope we struck gold with our draft choices last week. Did we get a future MVP? You never know. The player does not even have to be the overall number 1. Plenty of MVP's have come from lower in the draft. Even Aaron Judge went in the 3rd round, 51 overall. Good pick Bud! Here is a video about this years NL MVP, Shonei Ohtani. 3-16-25 The last couple of weeks we looked at the MVP's of the AL and NL. Pitching has it's own awards, the Cy Young awards. This week we will look at the NL Cy Young winner, Chris Sale. He finally came back from several years of injuries and turned in a great year. He was dominate from the seasons start. The Braves were careful with him and he did not pitch the number of innings he had in the past but what pitcher does anymore. Recall his great season with "NL CY YOUNG! 3-23-25 This week we move the 2024 Cy Young award focus fromthe NL to the AL. The 2024 American League Cy Young winner was Tarik Skubal. After a couple of seasons where he showed flashes of brillance this year he put it all together for a full season. He had a great season. 3-30-25 We have all heard the term "bad beat". That is where a team loses in a bad way. Perhaps the worst way to lose is because of an error. All errors are bad but if it cost your team the game it is tremondously demoralizing. The guys that committed the error feels like he let the team down, and he did. His teammates will all say the right things but the guy who made the error knows he blew it. Check out "MLB Worst Game-Losing Errors of 2024".
