5-31-20 We move on to 1988. Two different teams are in this years World Series. This year we get a couple of California teams. The Oakland A's take on the Los Angles Dodgers. Tommy Lasorda versus Tony LaRussa. The A's feature Rickey Henderson, Jose Canseco, and Mark McGwire. The Dodgers have Mike Marshall, Kirk Gibson, and as usual good pitching. 6-7-20 On to 1989. The Battle of the Bay. Oakland versus San Francisco. This is the famous earth quake series. The earth quake happened in game 3 and game 3 was postponed. This is the make up game. Both teams must have been eating their Wheaties during the off days as this game featured quite a power display. 6-14-20 Next up, 1990. The Oakland A's make their third straight World Series. Billy Beane has it going pretty good. Of course having the Bash Brothers, Jose Canseco and Mark McGwire teaming with Rickey Henderson helps. This year they face the Cincinnati Reds. 6-21-20 We move on to 1991. Oakland does not make it to the series this year. We do get an exciting seven game series though. The Atlanta Braves match up against the Minnesota Twins. Kirby Puckett and Kent Hrbrek against David Justice and the vaulted Braves pitching staff. The game is in the Metrodome and the homer hankies are out. 6-28-20 We are up to 1992. This year the series moves across the border as the Toronto Blue Jays take the AL crown. They face the Atlanta Braves. The Braves don't have many stars in the field but they do have the awesome pitching staff. The Blue Jays have Joe Carter, Roberto Alomar and Kelly Gruber. 7-5-20 We move on to 1993. The Toronto Blue Jays make it back to the World Series. This year they face the Philedelphia Phillies. The Phillies feature Lenny Dykstra, Darren Daulton, and Hog icon John Kruk. Terry Mulholland takes the mound for them. The Blue Jays have a veteran lineup. Rickie Henderson, Paul Molitor, and Chief icon Joe Carter. Dave Stewart is pitching for them. This is a game that Joe Carter will never forget as he provides some heroics.
