3-13-16   Here is something we all hope does not happen to our players. "Players Caught Cheating". Be it a corked bat, foreign substance on the ball, scraped balls, or too much pine tar we don't want to see it happen to our guys. Here is a nice collection of clips of "Players Caught Cheating."
3-20-16   Tonight on "What's My Line" we feature one of the greatest catchers of all time. Although his career was tragically cut short due to an automobile accident he was a dominate force during his playing days. He starred in the Negro Leagues and Major Leagues, a 3 time MVP and is in the Baseball Hall of Fame. The mystery guest, ... Roy Campanella.
3-27-16   Spring training is a great time to visit the ballpark and catch a game. Players are much more accessible and there is much more fan interaction. You can get closer to the players and players are a little more relaxed so they accept the fans a little more. It happens during the season too. 4-3-16   This episode of "What's My Line" features a very unique player. He is the only player to play for all 3 old time New York teams. He was once suspended from Baseball for 5 years. He was the opposing pitcher to Don Larson during his perfect game. While his career was only 10 years in the Majors he sure made his mark. He is "Sal the Barber", Sal Maglie. Will the panel figure out who the interesting character is? Let's find out.
4-10-16   New rules have pretty much taken this out of the game but the home plate collision was an exciting, if not dangerous play. Players would give up their body to score the run. Catchers would do what ever it took to block the plate. Is the new rule good or bad, hard to say but we will miss "Home Plate Collisions".
4-17-16   We travel way back to the beginning episode of "What's My Line" for this weeks feature. The premier features a New York Yankee, shortstop Phil Rizutto. The stars usually guess the baseball players pretty quickly. We they do that with Rizzuto. Lets watch and see.
