AMERICAN LEAGUE

Like last season the AL is not as good top to bottom as the NL. However, it should be a competitive season as there are no apparent juggernauts. Only sure bet is that the Cracker Jacks continue to suck wind and are almost a lock to have the first pick in the draft next season. Every team has some holes.

Baton Rouge looks the best. They are solid offensively and defensively and have a great closing combo in the pen with Doolittle and Miller. They could use a better right handed reliever and their rotation is just ok.

Hart St looks to be the next best team. Very good pitching up and down the rotation and pen. Good on base, but no pop and not great defensively with a 3 at SS and in CF.

Next should be Milford. Good offense and some good starting pitching. Assuming Carrasco is in the pen that will go a long way to make up for an otherwise bad group. Lack of a SS could be an Achilles heel.

Hotlanta doesn’t hit RHPing well, has a weak rotation...but has a ridiculous pen. Same formula that won them a championship a few years back but this team doesn’t have the SPing. Good enough to make the playoffs though.

Louisville rounds out the top five. King Felix and Greinke will be tough. Decent elsewhere aside from a weak OF.

I think the rest of the teams have too many flaws, but a little luck and some trades and you could see California, Urpaign or Arsenal make a run at a spot.

NATIONAL LEAGUE

Norwich is clearly the best team in the league. Four of the top ten SPers and a crazy pen like HT. Lineup is not perfect, but should not matter. After that it gets a little muddled. Lots of solid teams.

Wall Street will be very good with Scherzer and Sale at the top of the rotation. Brantly, Harrison and Norris all have breakout years...genius GM?

The Chiefs will be the Chiefs...HRs. Pretty good rotation and a couple of bullpen studs.

New England steps in it a bit with Kluber, but lots of other good stuff and enough to make the playoffs.

Maine rounds out the top five. Solid all-around if not exciting.

Klubbers...nope...have to prove to me they can make the playoffs. Hazardville, Burlington and Illinois all could push for a spot. Don’t think US, AS or CT have enough to contend.
