7-12-20 Next up, 1994. The Montreal Expos are having a great year and they have a championship quality team. Matt Williams is hitting the cover off the ball and Tony Gwynn looks like he has a chance to hit .400 for the season. There is just one problem. Baseball labor relations are at the rock bottom. The owners want a salary cap, the players say no way. Negotiations are going nowhere and low and behold we get a baseball strike. The strike wipes out the World Series. I found a nice little review of the situation. Check out "NO WORLD SERIES? (1994 MLB Strike)" from Baseball Storytime.

7-19-20 We move on to 1995 and the labor issues are resolved and the World Series is back.. The Atlanta Braves have made it back to the series and they face the Cleveland Indians. The Indians have had a long World Series drought but they have a solid team that might contend for years. They have some young stars, Manny Ramirez (with short hair), Albert Belle, and Omar Vizquel. Ancient Dennis Martinez starts for them. The Braves are know as the team of the 90's. They feature Chipper Jones, Fred McGriff and David Justice. Tom Glavine takes the mound for them. I hope you enjoy Game 6 of the 1995 World Series, Indians at Braves. By the way, check out Jimmy Carter's first pitch, impressive.

7-26-20 We have reached 1996. The Braves have made it back to the Series and finally making it back after a long hiatus is the New York Yankees. The Braves pretty much have the same crew back but have added a young Andruw Jones to the outfield. Greg Maddux takes the mound for them. The Yankees have a collection of big money players along with a young Derek Jeter. Jimmy Key starts the game for them. Sit back and relive the 1996 World Series Game 6, Braves at Yankees.

8-2-20 With Major League Baseball back I was contemplating whether to continue showing old games or now. Well Major League Baseball may not be back for long. So I will continue on and bring you the 1997 World Series. This year the Cleveland Indians are facing the Florida Marlins. Cleveland still has its core talent Omar Vizquel, Manny Ramirez and Sandy Alomar. The Marlins feature a bunch of veterans, Bobby Bonila, Gary Sheffield, and Darren Daulton. Here is your chance to experience again the 1997 World Series Game 7, Indians at Marlins.

8-8-20 I have presented a World Series game from season through 1997. We are getting quite modern with those games so I decided to try to find something old. How about 1960. Here is the last 3 innings of game 7 of the 1960 World Series between the Pittsburgh Pirates and the New York Yankees. Hall of Famer's and old time stars are all over the diamond. Yogi Berra, Mickey Mantle, Whitey Ford, Bill Mazoroski, Roberto Clemente. Check out the last 3 innings of the 1960 World Series.

8-16-20 I've got another old time game. This week it is the 1965 World Series pitting the Los Angles Dodgers versus the Minnesota Twins. The game is being played at Metropolitan Stadium in Bloomington Minnesota. We have some famous names. Los Angles has Maury Wills, Willie Davis, and Wes Parker (before his acting days). Sandy Koufax is the starting pitcher. Minnesota has Tony Oliva, Harmon Killebrew and Bob Allison. Jim Kaat is their starting pitcher pitching on 2 days rest. This is back when pitchers pitched until their arms fell off. I hope you enjoy the 1965 World Series Game 7, Dodgers at Twins.
